This copper Rooster Weathervane is made by hand hammering, cutting, forming and shaping copper into a weathervane. We use 16 ounce 24-gauge copper to form this beautiful artwork.
Each of our Rooster Weathervanes are balanced so they will point into the wind to show wind direction. If you have wind from the north, the weathervane will be pointing north into the wind. It is important to note that trees, heavy brush and buildings can obstruct the direction of the wind hitting the weathervnane.
This Rooster Weathervane purchase includes: weathervane figure, copper spacer balls, brass directionals, rod with ring.
Weathervane Directionals: 18”L with 3” Lettering
Weathervane Figure: 23"L X 16"H
Add approx. 10" to height for spacer balls and directionals
Weathervane mounts and cupolas are sold separately
Since we use real copper to make our Rooster Weathervanes – each weathervane will tarnish. The copper will turn brown, black and then a patina green. This is a natural process, but the time it takes to end up a patina green depends on the weather in your area.

Special Note about our Handmade Weathervanes:
Each of our handmade weathervanes are Made to Order. Each weathervane is hand hammered into a mold that we have produced with our own weathervane artwork. The weathervane is cut out of the copper sheet and then soldered together. Final touches for making the weathervane include cutting, sanding, and putting a weathervane tube into the weathervane figure and to make a balanced turning point. We are proud to say that all our staff to include our retail folks have designed at least one weathervane or more since becoming part of our amazing family-based company.
